March may be the most superstitious month of 2015. Think about it: next Friday is the ominous Friday the 13th, then comes the fateful Ides of March on the 15th, and of course who can forget the luckiest day of the year—St. Patrick’s Day!

With all the talk of good luck and bad luck swirling around, it can be easy to attribute your successes and slip-ups to the capricious nature of March. But, I’m a skeptic, and when it comes down to data, there’s just no opportunity for MSPs that leave it up to the fates. Data loss can cripple a business in seconds and there are good stats that show many businesses close their doors shortly following a major data disaster. However, most business are focused on—just that—their business, not their BDR plan, leaving it up to their MSP to ward off any and all bad luck data loss can cause.

But, instead of peering into a crystal ball, MSPs need to have a business continuity strategy for each of their clients so when the inevitable occurs, the right BDR solution is in place. That solution can be so seamless, they’ll think their data is backed up by four-leaf clovers!
