8 Strategies for Cross-Selling and Upselling Your Current Clients

Chalk

One of the most effective ways to grow your business is by expanding your services with your current clients. First off, they know you, so the cost of acquisition (acquiring more business) is much lower compared to prospects. Additionally, you’ll have a much higher response rate because you already have a relationship with them. Lastly, they already get what you do, so it’s a much shorter sales cycle. All of these are a formula for a quick win and easy growth.

Here are some strategies that will help you cross-sell and upsell your clients. Read more »

HAPPY NEW YEAR! AFTER A WEEK OFF WE’RE BACK HERE IN THE BOSTON STUDIOS FOR THIS WEEK’S EPISODE OF IT REWIND.

I HOPE YOU ALL HAD AN AMAZING 2014, BUT, IF YOU’RE LIKE ME, I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO A FRESH NEW YEAR PACKED WITH THE HOTTEST STORIES FROM THE WORLD OF IT. LETS GET TO IT!

GAMERS, REJOICE! XBOX LIVE AND PLAYSTATION NETWORK ARE BOTH BACK ONLINE AFTER A HOLIDAY DISTRIBUTED DENIAL OF SERVICE ATTACK SHUT THE SERVICES DOWN FOR MULTIPLE DAYS. BASED ON A SERIES OF TWEETS, A HACKING GROUP CALLED “LIZARD SQUAD” IS SUSPECTED TO HAVE BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR THE GAMING CONSOLE DOWNTIME. LIZARD SQUAD IS THE SAME GROUP THAT IS SUSPECTED OF HAVING A ROLE IN THE RECENT DISRUPTION TO NORTH KOREA’S INTERNET SERVICE. THE ATTACK ON XBOX LIVE AND PSN ENDED WHEN MEGAUPLOAD, ANOTHER CONTROVERSIAL ONLINE FIGURE, OFFERED LIZARD SQUAD 3,000 VOUCHERS TO END THE ATTACK. ONCE SERVICE TO XBONE ONE AND PSN WAS RESTORED, LIZARD SQUAD TWEETED THAT IT WAS MEGAUPLOAD’S OFFER THAT CONVINCED THEM TO END THE ATTACKS.

BY NOW, EVERYONE HAS HEARD OF THE SECURITY BREACH AT JPMORGAN CHASE THAT OCCURRED OVER THE SUMMER. OLD NEWS; RIGHT? WRONG. RECENT INFORMATION HAS SURFACED THAT SUGGESTS THE LARGEST INTRUSION OF AN AMERICAN BANK TO DATE COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF A SIMPLE SECURITY FIX HAD BEEN INSTALLED TO SERVER THAT WAS APPARENTLY OVERLOOKED. WITHOUT THE UPDATE, THE IGNORED SERVER DID NOT REQUIRE THE TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION PROCESS THAT THE REST OF JP MORGAN CHASE’S SERVERS REQUIRE. BECAUSE OF THAT, THE STOLEN LOGIN CREDENTIALS WERE ENOUGH TO BYPASS SECURITY AND INFILTRATE THE SYSTEM.

I CAN’T STRESS ENOUGH HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO KEEP YOUR SECURITY TOOLS AND POLICIES UP TO DATE. WHETHER YOU’RE A MAJOR BANK OR A CORNER COFFEE SHOP, SECURITY IS KEY.

THE NEW YEAR MAY BE UPON US, BUT THERE’S ALWAYS TIME FOR REFLECTION. THIS WEEK ON MSPRADIO, NATE TEPLOW TURNED BACK THE CLOCK AND FEATURED CLIPS FROM EACH AND EVERY GUEST OF THE SHOW FROM 2014. WE DON’T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO HEAR FROM ALL OF THEM, BUT CHECK OUT THE LINK BELOW AND CATCH UP ON A YEAR OF AMAZING MSPRADIO CONTENT.

THAT’S ALL THE TIME WE HAVE FOR THIS WEEK’S EDITION OF IT REWIND. AS ALWAYS BE SURE TO FIND US ON TWITTER, INSTAGRAM AND VINE AT FOLLOWCONTINUUM, AS WELL AS ON FACEBOOK, LINKENDIN, GOOGLE PLUS AND YOUTUBE.

HAPPY 2015 EVERYONE, I’LL SEE YOU NEXT WEEK.
